Theory/Practical •Appropriate Terminology •Types of Disabilities and their implications •Models of Disability •Identifying and Tackling Barriers 2. The second half covers: •Climbing Environments •Side Supported Climbing •Vertical Hoists •Wheelchair Abseiling Equipment: Please be prepared for a classroom session followed by outdoor, practical sessions. • Note pad and pen • Camera (optional) • Waterproofs and boots • Warm clothes • Medical form (and dietary information) • Harness and helmet (optional) Lunch will be provided.
