Workshop detail: This is the first CPD workshop for the Northern Ireland Regional Group! It is aimed at members of the MTA who are aspiring, trainee or qualified Mountain Leader wishing to brush up their ropework skills – a common area for deferral on assessment. The training will take place outdoors at Spellack, conveniently situated close to Meelmore Lodge. There will be plenty of peer support, many chances to practice ropework skills and a great opportunity to learn the latest best practice. The workshop also contributes 1 CPD point What to bring: All delegates should bring full hill equipment for outdoor training suitable for prevailing weather. Waterproofs, warm kit, boots and rope gloves are essential. A packed lunch will be required. All ropes and helmets can be provided. Workshop provider: The full day’s training will be delivered by Jonny Parr, an experienced MIC registered as a course director for the Mountain Leader award.
