Run by Paul Tattersall who lives and runs his guiding business from near Gairloch. Paul’s potential career as a geologist after graduating from Sheffield University was completely stymied by his obsession with climbing and travelling the world to climb. Thirty-odd years later he is still passionate about climbing AND geology and hopes to pass on some knowledge in this one day workshop. The day will start with a brief indoor session outlining the geological history of the NW Highlands. After that it will move outdoors to climb on several of the Gairloch crags, seeing the geology and mixing it in with the chance to push personal climbing and gather thoughts on best practice for coaching and teaching the sport we all love. Participants need to bring lunch, hill walking gear and rock climbing gear (probably Sport Climbing but throw the Trad rack in too, just in case).
