Mountain Training Scotland is to hold a two-day workshop, for those in developing training and assessment techniques, at the Outdoor Learning Centre (GR NS968754) in Muiravonside Country Park for two days starting at 09:00Hrs on the 10th November 2018 (end 1630Hrs on the 11th November 2018). The course will be staffed by Alan Halewood and Sandy Paterson - both trainers and assessors with a long time involvement with training and assessing on Mountain Training schemes including at Mountaineering Instructor level.
The workshop is for those involved, or interested in becoming involved in working on Mountain Training qualifications. The intention is to allow participants practical opportunities to explore methodologies appropriate to training and assessing Mountain Training qualifications.
To keep the day as flexible as possible and make best use of conditions, could delegates come dressed and equipped for outdoor sessions ‘on the hill’. PLEASE BRING YOUR OWN PACKED LUNCH.
The cost, including tea and coffees on arrival, and tea and biscuits at the end of each day only, is £95.00 per person. Places are limited and will be allocated on a first come, first served basis.
