With the majority of young people being introduced to climbing indoors and in many cases quickly climbing hard technical grades, how do we as Mountaineering Instructors help them make the transition to Trad! This AMI CPD Workshop will look at how we bridge the transition whilst managing complex issues such as aspirations of the young people, informed parental consent and managing the balance between risk, adventure and learning. The workshop will look at managing belayers, judgement, decision making and technical leading.

It will be beneficial for those Full AMI members who wish to be considered for a role in the AMI/MI youth partnership programme.
