Introduction to the skills, environmental issues and techniques of self-rescue for a
single and multi-pitch rock climbing environment. This course would be open to
anyone who would like to improve their knowledge of self-rescue techniques.
Please note that a basic understanding of knots and climbing is required before
registering. Please contact Ian if you are unsure.
 
The workshop is led by Ian Loombe, MIC, who has been involved in training in the outdoors for over 20 years.
 
Equipment: please bring full climbring/instructional rack, helmet and shoes, 2 prusiks, and necessary clothing, waterproofs, food and drink for a day outdoors in March.  Check weather forecast!  Also your personal first aid kit and any meds you may need.
