About
The aim of the workshop will be 3 fold:
- Bring current SPA holders up to speed with the new qualification
- Enable SPA trained candidates to "catch up” and prepare for assessment in line with the expectations of the Rock Climbing Instructor qualification.
- Emphasise the current guidance from Mountain Training with regards to the remit and expectations associated with rescues etc.
There will also be the opportunity to include shared best practice between attendees.
Meeting point: Scugdale - Hopefully the new cafe in Swainby will be open for a good meeting place.
Equipment to bring: Please bring along your personal climbing kit and helmet and dress appropriately for the weather conditions.
Food: Please bring a packed lunch and enough food/drink to get you through a full day on the crag.
Workshop Provider: Nick Pilling, experienced Mountain Training Rock Climbing Instructor provider and course director.
Cancellation: This workshop needs a minimum of 3 bookings to run.
