Award Description
This qualification trains and assesses candidates in the skills required to lead hillwalking groups in summer conditions on mountainous routes not requiring the planned use of a rope. Established in 1964, this was the first qualification created by Mountain Training.
About
Depending on numbers this course will either be based at Capel Tanrallt (15 minutes from Caernarfon) or Llanberis. Both options give us really easy access to many great mountain options.
I run all courses myself with the help of a few other highly experienced instructors. Whether you have signed up for assessment or training we always aim to create a relaxed environment that allows you to perform at your best.
Accommodation is usually available at Capel Tanrallt for £22.50/night. There are great facilities and the residential option is always popular. If the course is based in Llanberis, I can also help with accommodation.
