Mountain Leader Assessment
Llanberis, Eryri | Snowdonia
We strive to deliver fun, friendly, and relaxed assessments to create a positive environment for you to shine. We love sharing these courses with enthuisiastic mountain folk as so often we get to learn something new from from you; as well as aiming to develop and coach you further through the week, outwith the assessment process.
Our courses are delivered from our Basecamp, right on the high street in Llanberis, Eryri | Snowdonia and include free tea and coffee. No extra costs of visiting cafes through the week! The exped phase could take place anywhere across Snowdonia, we have a wealth of fantastic mountain landscapes to play in.
In addition to our experience of delivering the Mountain Leader award scheme, we are active and current Mountain Leaders ourselves; from leading Duke of Edinburgh expeditions, charity challenge events, taking young people for their first hill walks, right through to top level navigation coaching. In addition to hopefully seeing you pass your award, we're all about preparing Mountain Leaders for working in the outdoors with tips and career advice.
Our Basecamp provides a quiet, private space for Mountain Independence where we run morning meetings and evening lectures; equipped with facilities for weather briefings, presentations and resources. Llanberis itself is a great base, with lots of options locally to access the hills, plenty of accomodation options, and good transport links.
With tea and coffee included in the package; finishing the course with a slice of cake is just the icing on the, well....
