WORKSHOP CONTENT & LEARNING OUTCOMES
This workshop will give you the opportunity to gain some expert input into your RCI journey as you work towards assessment. This workshop is suitable for RCI trainees.
Aims:
- To refine some of the key technical areas that people sometimes struggle with on assessments, such as group abseils, bottom rope and top rope set ups, and setting up on more difficult crags.
- To get more familiar with what it feels like to be watched by an assessor and look at strategies for performing under pressure
There will be a supportive atmosphere, and no need to worry about what grade you climb or how experienced you are! I'll cater tuition to where you are at and help you to get the most out of the day.
The session will run on Friday 28th March from 09.30am - 4.30pm, and there will be a maximum group size of 6.
Depending on the weather, we will use crags in Langdale or near Kendal.
Shared transport can be available from Keswick for anyone travelling by public transport.
You need to bring your own personal climbing equipment (harness, helmet, rock shoes, belay device), and ideally a trad rack/rope adn any group kit you own.
