Award Description
The Lowland Leader qualification has been designed for people who wish to lead groups on day walks in lowland countryside and woodland in summer conditions. The majority of the UK and Ireland is made up of this type of terrain so you'll never be short of places to go walking.
The Lowland Leader qualification is a nationally recognised walking qualification designed for people who wish to lead groups on day walks in lowland countryside. Over 2 days you'll be assessed in all areas of the Lowland Leader syllabus including navigation, leadership, emergency procedures, access, conservation and environment. It's my job to check that you meet the standards set by Mountain Training but I aim to do so in a relaxed, supportive way that gives you chance to show what you can do. There will be plenty of chance for questions, learning, mistakes and fixing them! You'll have the benefit of learning from other people in your group and feedback to prepare you for next steps.
