Award Description
Bouldering Wall Instructors deliver bouldering sessions on artificial bouldering walls. They are able to teach bouldering skills and manage groups safely.
Attendees must have registered on the scheme with Mountain Training and have met the minimum criteria when they arrive for training. The minimum age is 16. 3. Instructor responsibilities
4. Leadership and decision-making
5. Knowledge and demonstration of techniques
6. Hazards and emergency procedures
7. Managing/supervising other staff
8. Teaching and learning skills
9. Etiquette and ethics
Training will be delivered in a relaxed manner with plenty of chances to discuss a variety of approaches to the managing novices in a bouldering environment that participants can adapt to their own context.
You will have plenty of opportunity to take part in activities and scenarios which will help to deepen your understanding and prepare for assessment. You will need climbing shoes and something to take notes with.
This course is resourced and you will receive supporting documentation to help after the course.
