Award Description

The Lowland Leader qualification has been designed for people who wish to lead groups on day walks in lowland countryside and woodland in summer conditions. The majority of the UK and Ireland is made up of this type of terrain so you'll never be short of places to go walking.

The Lowland Leader qualification has been designed for people who wish to lead groups on day walks in lowland countryside and woodland in summer conditions. It is ideal for people who work within schools and youth groups, and those who are involved in the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award.

This Lowland Leader Course is intended for any candidate who requires accreditation for Lowland Leader Training if they have a status of not completed showing on the Candidate Management System for their original training course.

I am a provider of Mountain Training Lowland Leader Courses and Assessments. I also offer the Camping Leader and Outward Bound First Aid Courses which comply with the Health and Safety Executive regulations.

Location and Travel

This training takes place in Gillingham Kent. The venue has free parking and is situated close to the A2 link road. The nearest railway station is in Gillingham being an hours walk or 20 mins in a taxi.

Personally

I am an experienced outdoor practitioner with over 20 years’ experience in providing training and development in various outdoor pursuits. I believe in enabling instructors to promote the outdoors to the next generation. I care about providing training and assessment opportunities which are of a practical nature, where learning and development of knowledge and skills are at the core of every course I deliver. Everyone is an individual and is involved in their own journey as an outdoor instructor - I recognise this and tailor courses to ensure I support you on this learning pathway.
