Award Description
The Climbing Wall Instructor Abseil (CWI Ab) module, is an optional module undertaken by those involved in the Climbing Wall Instructor scheme. It's aim is to train and assess people responsible for supervising abseiling from climbing walls. Some Climbing Wall Instructor providers will offer the Abseil Module as part of the main training course if the facility they are planning to use is appropriate.

About
The abseil module is an optional extra and is designed to equip Climbing Wall Instructors with the skills and techniques required for managing top-roping and abseiling groups on purpose built artificial climbing walls and structures. Awareness of the skills outlined in the main Climbing Wall Instructor syllabus is assumed and not repeated here, therefore you cannot take the abseil module as a standalone module.
Venture Elements are a training provider for Mountain Training Leadership Qualifications. All courses will be delivered by a qualified Mountaineering and Climbing Instructor which is the highest qualification in this field.
Location - All advertised courses are delivered around the eastern side of the Peak District / Sheffield depending upon venue availability, but please contact us if you wish to have a bespoke course delivered at a venue of your choice.
What is included - Our price includes instruction and all equipment (including helmets, harnesses, climbing shoes, ropes and metalware). We DO NOT Provide:
Delivery – This is a 2 hour course that is predominantly practical in nature, using only a few small theory based activities to reinforce key learning areas.
