The day will start at Twilight cafe in carnlough with a review of some sport climbing incidents and near misses. The intention is the draw learnings from these and think about how they may impact upon our practice at a sports venue, both whilst working and in a personal context.
After the session at the cafe the rest of the day will be spent at the crag putting things into practice. The day will also delve into good practice when utilising sport venues and group mangement when sport climbing. There will be opportunity to look at belay devices as part of the day, and incorperate any other aspects that people would like to discuss.
THE FORMAT IS WEATHER DEPENDANT. IF A BAD FORECAST IS ON THE CARDS THE VENUE WILL MOST LIKELY BE CHANGED TO NEWCASTLE.
