Chris Walker Trust (CWT) – CPD UK Avalanche training days These are free one day courses for up to eight people, run by SportScotland Avalanche Information Service, which count as CPD and offer valuable training to those of you who spend a considerable amount of time in the UK on snow covered terrain in your work as an instructor/guide. The idea is to get the message out via instructors/guides, so that they in turn can educate their own guests in current best practice. Preference will be given to members of AMI/BMG or anyone who has undertaken MIC Training/Assessment. A short list will be kept of Winter ML’s if those with a higher qualification do not fill the days. CWT are also hoping to sponsor avalanche training for WML’s at an MTA winter workshop to be run by MTA at Glenmore Lodge over weekend 25/26th January, 2013. And details of this will be placed on the MTA website in due course. Another one day course might also take place and details will be sent out in good time.
