About

AGM CPD Day
The Roger Payne Risk Management Seminar

10th December 2017

Palace Hotel, Buxton

Following the death of ex-BMG President Roger Payne on Mont Maudit in 2012 a memorial fund was established “to help members of the British Association of Mountain Guides to better understand and manage the risks associated with the profession of “mountain guiding”.

It is intended that the fund will support a day of Professional Development (called the Risk Management Seminar) immediately following the Annual General Meeting of the BMG. The day will be structured around the theme of “Risks in Mountain Guiding” and will:
• Address topical areas of concern and interest
• Present latest thinking around risk identification and management
• Consider the latest statistics and research

Attendance is free of charge to members (but you will have to buy your lunch!).
