Bio: Steve Ellis is an IML; as well as being a Mountain Training and BAIML member, Personal Trainer and one of only 5 INWA National Nordic Walking Coaches in the UK, having trained over 150 Instructors (incl. IMLs). He has been an Instructor since 2011, and has made Nordic Walking the cornerstone of his business ‘Gemini Outdoor’, with 10 classes each week, over 600 members trained; in addition to delivering Personal Training (predominantly with Nordic Walking), as well as UK and overseas treks…all using Nordic Walking poles.

Workshop info: Nordic Walking is one of the fastest developing activities in Europe, the health & fitness benefits of correct usage of Nordic Walking poles are not only applicable to mountain professionals but also an ever-growing public marketplace with superb business opportunities and business development income
streams for BAIML/AMI & MTA Members. During the workshop, you will experience the health benefits and how you can get the most out of working with Nordic Walking poles, as well as ideas on how to build a business around Nordic Walking. This is a great course to give you an idea of what a Nordic Walking Instructor can deliver, then add on your skills as a mountain professional and you are able to deliver a quality package for this ever-growing market.

Participant equipment required: Steve will provide specific Nordic Walking poles for participants (please let Steve know how tall you are, in order to ensure sufficient numbers of fixed length poles are provided); in addition, normal outdoor clothing and footwear will be needed.
