Workshop info: The session will be based in the field and explain current ideas of how geology determines the landscape that can be passed on to clients. The session will look in detail at the famous Mam Tor landslide, from top to toe, and at how the interlayered sedimentary geology explains why the landslide happened and how it is still affecting the landscape. It will also look at the fascinating limestone geology of the area next to the Mam Tor landslide and common features of the limestone landscape.
