The Lowland Leader qualification has been designed for people who wish to lead groups on day walks in lowland countryside and woodland in summer conditions. The majority of the UK and Ireland is made up of this type of terrain so you'll never be short of places to go walking.
Our courses are informative and fun; whether training or assessment we aim to ensure you leave more knowledgeable, skilled and a better leader as a result of the experience.
Assessment: The 2-day assesses candidates in line with the Lowland Leader Syllabus. The course is very practical and is conducted in the environment you may expect to take groups. To attend you must have completed training or been granted assessment and have recorded the prerequisite experience on DLOG.
The course is run on the edge of the Dartmoor National Park, making the best the stunning scenery and fantastic walking available. Over two days the syllabus will be covered through practical exercises, scenarios and discussions as well as a pre-course home paper which will need completing prior to the course start.
