Rock Climbing Instructor Training Wednesday 9th September - Friday 11th September 2020
Our ethos is to run fun, friendly and relaxed courses helping people develop into knowledgeable and confident Rock Climbing Instructors.
Make 2020 the year you take the step to becoming a qualified Rock Climbing Instructor with us here in Llanberis, Snowdonia National Park.
Our ethos for Mountain Training courses is not only to use the most highly qualified and experienced people, but instructors who are still relevant and active freelancers doing the work of the award scheme that they are delivering. Simon Verspeak will be directing the course with Stuart Lade working alongside. Additionally all our staff are members of AMI and MTA, undertake Continuing Professional Development, share our passion for doing the best job in the world and are super friendly : )
All our courses are based out of Basecamp Coffi (still under development!) in Llanberis. We have a quiet, private space for Mountain Independence where we run morning meetings and evening lectures; equipped with top facilities for weather briefings, presentations and resources.
With tea and coffee included in the package; finishing each day with a slice of cake is just the icing on the, well....
We are considering the COVID-19 pandemic carefully and putting in place various guidelines which we'll expect candidates to take seriously. Amongst these we'll be restricting numbers to a maximum of just 4 for this course. Having our own private briefing space makes the morning briefings and theoretical aspects of the course easier for us to deliver in a safe enivoronment. We'll expect candidates to be mindful of current government guidelines and accommodate themselves for the course appropriately. For situations where social distancing is impracticable masks will be worn and generous use of hand sanitiser will be encouraged. All candidates will need to fill in an additional COVID screening form and we have revised our refund policy for a no quibble return for any COVID related cancellation.
