Award Description
Our Rock Skills courses are designed to provide structured training opportunities for people who want to learn more and become independent climbers. There are three different levels so that complete beginners and those with more experience can choose the most appropriate starting point.
The main aims of this course are to learn how to be a safe belayer, how to second routes competently and how to belay a lead climber. You will develop your climbing movement skills and learn how to place protection and construct belays.
This will be a two day course and will need to meet at the venue at the alloted time.
You will need to bring your own helmet, harness and climbing shoes, if you have them
We supply helment and harness if you do not have one. Your own PPE will need to be serviceable and indate
During the course you will be learning the various aspects of the syllabus, which you are expected to make yourself familiar with before the event.
You will need to make sure that you have updated your DLog prior to the event.
At this venue there is the need to pay for parking as it is a Forestry Commission parking area
