Award Description
The Development Coach scheme is designed for people who coach groups and/or individuals for an extended period of time.
About
The Development Coach qualification focuses on the development of climbers over a series of sessions. As a coach you will add to your existing coaching skills and learn how to deliver ‘climber centred coaching’ to individuals as part of a group.
This training course will be delivered by Jay Jackson, a GB Climbing Team coach with over 15 years experience of coaching climbing.
He currently works with the GB Development Squad and GB Paraclimbing Team, coaches clients of all ages and abilities from entry level to elite athletes, is a Mountain Training course director for a range of climbing award schemes, and delivers staff training and technical advice for climbing activity delivery, performance coaching, and adaptive climbing activities.
