Developing Movement Skills and Decision Making – A Gaming Approach
WORKSHOP CONTENT & LEARNING OUTCOMES:
One day workshop looking at Coaching Movement and Decision Making. The workshop looks to contextualise some of the modern approaches to coaching sport and how we might use this approach in the outdoors. It is appropriate to anyone who works in the mountains as has cross overs to all remits. The workshop is a split between theory and practice and takes a full day.
The morning will be spent inside looking at the theories that have helped shape my gaming approach, these will include Ecological Psychology, Dynamicals Systems Theory, Perception and Action Coupling, Game Sense and Constraints Led Approach.
We will then look at the practicalities of using the approach in practice before heading outside to look at putting it together.
By the end of the day you will have an understanding of the theories that will help you develop your own gaming approach and a handful of games/activities to get you started.
Equipment
Hill Kit for being outdoors and relatively stationary. Any other IML kit you might have to teach clients about that you would like to explore.
