Please note the cost for attendance is £15 which is payable on the day. All bookings must now be made through the CMS for this workshop.
Ski-touring binding setup and adjustment, touring bindings and boot compatibility, other related ski-guiding issues
Session 1: Current AT (alpine touring) bindings set-up and adjustment session
A practical session looking at the setting up and adjusting of popular and current AT bindings. (As the BMS ski workshop has space for only 6 people at a time, this session will be run twice, concurrently with session 2). Led by Lee Hardy (very knowledgeable ski technician at BMS, he used to be the technical rep for Scott Sports)
Session 2: AT ski equipment update
A look at the latest kit and new gear developments as well as a review of popular products on the market. Led by Peter Lawrence (BMS store manager) and HBS + assistance from one other BMG
Session 3: Compatibility of AT kit for new tourers.
Relating to issues involving bindings and ski boots presented by guides and the BMS technicians. Also relating to client injury avoidance. Led by HBS and involving Lee Hardy
Session 4: Topical ski-guiding issues
Led by HBS. I’ll also be asking attendees for contributions of any particular topics they might like covered in this session, or that would be relevant in the earlier sessions.
