Award Description

The Lowland Leader qualification has been designed for people who wish to lead groups on day walks in lowland countryside and woodland in summer conditions. The majority of the UK and Ireland is made up of this type of terrain so you'll never be short of places to go walking.

The Location:

This assessment will run on the stunning Gower peninsular, Britain's first Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, with more photogenic views than you can shake a map and compass at! It is accessed easily from the M4 at Swansea and has a wide range of accommodation options available close by. The area is blessed with a variety of terrain types from woods and moors to farmland and the Wales Coastal Path, giving you the ideal location to demonstrate the skills and knowledge required by a Lowland Leader.

Our assessments are run in a supportive and relaxed way to allow you to perform at your best, without any unnecessary pressure. We think you should take away more than just a result from the course and ensure that your assessment is also a valuable learning opportunity as well.  

The People:

We are experienced outdoor professional with a background in providing training and support for organisations and individuals in Walking, Climbing, Caving and Outdoor First Aid.
