Sunday session - Slick ropework for MLs
This workshop concentrates on managing a group on steep group and emergency rope work required for Mountain Leader assessment a great opportunity to update and practise your skills either as a refresher or particularly if you are preparing for an assessment. Let’s face it when did you last get your rope out?
The workshop will cover route selection and safeguarding a group in ascent and descent, confidence roping, selecting and using anchors.

The workshop is being run by Chris Harling a course director for the Mountain leader qualification, Chris is a Winter Mountaineering and climbing Instructor and Winter Mountain Leader
What to bring:
Please bring personal clothing to suit the weather. Gloves are essential, Ideally with grippy palms. Good sturdy mountain/walking boots. If you have a helmet and a rope about 30m long that would be ideal. I’ll bring spares if you don’t have your own. Personal meds / first aid kit.

The workshop will take place at Carrock Fell in Mungrisedale which is a great local venue to the centre, with a 2 minute walk-in.
