The workshop will run from 9.30am to 4.30pm Friday 24th March, with an online Zoom session from 7.00 to 8.30pm on Thursday 23rd March.
Friday 24th March location: Rock Over Climbing, Manchester
Rockover is a fifteen minute walk from Manchester Victoria Station which is serviced by mainline trains and the Metro Tram network. Attendees are encouraged to use public transport where possible.
This workshop is open to providers, course directors and any course staff involved in the delivery of Mountain Training climbing leadership awards; Indoor Climbing Assistant, Climbing Wall Instructor, Climbing Wall Development Instructor, Rock Climbing Instructor and Rock Climbing Development Instructor, as well as Rock SKills scheme who wish to further develop their knowledge and skills in the delivery of these award schemes.
This workshop will include an online session on the Thursday 23rd March 2023 to to maximise practical time, and reduce the time spent together indoors with the potential risk of COVID infection.
Sessions throughout the workshop will include an update on the Mountain Training awards pathway; practical activities and discussion of any issues related to the delivery of the climbing schemes, exploring any relevant topics that have arisen from candidate feedback and quality assurance visits, and a discussion on the use of CMS.
The workshop is non-residential. The cost doesn't include lunch or refreshments.
