The workshop will run from 9.45am to 4.30pm Saturday 17th June, with an online Zoom session from 7.00 to 8.30pm on Thursday 15th June.
This workshop is open to providers, course directors and any course staff involved in the delivery of Mountain Training walking leadership awards; Mountain Leader, Hill and Moorland Leader and Lowland Leader, as well as Hill & Mountain Skills scheme who wish to further develop their knowledge and skills in the delivery of these award schemes.
Due to Covid mitigation, this workshop will include an online session on the Thursday evening 15th June 2023 to reduce time spent together indoors and reduce the potential risk of infection.
On Saturday 17th June we will meet at the Tring train station car park at 9.50am. We will be outdoors for the whole day and finish at the car park by 4.30pm.
Workshop start and finish times will be coordinated to tie in with train arrival times. Attendees are encouraged to use public transport where possible.
Sessions throughout the workshop will include an update on the Mountain Training awards pathway; practical activities and discussion of any issues related to the delivery of the walking schemes, exploring any relevant topics that have arisen from candidate feedback and quality assurance visits, the walking schemes review and a discussion on the use of CMS.
The workshop is non-residential. The cost doesn't include lunch or refreshments.
