Award Description
This qualification trains and assesses candidates in the skills required to supervise climbers on purpose built artificial climbing walls and boulders. The scheme does not include the skills and techniques required to teach lead climbing.
About
This Climbing Wall Instructor assessment course will be Directed by one of the country's most experienced climbing tutors and will be held at one of the premier climbing walls in North Wales.
During the day Andy, and possibly another very experienced climbing coach, will offer candidates the opportunity to demonstrate that they have the skills, knowledge and experience required to provide fun, interesting and safe sessions to a range of students and clients in the climbing wall environment.
The Climbing Wall Instructor Abseil Module assessment will also be offered to candidates who are successful at achieving the base Award, and who have completed the relevant training course.
