WORKSHOP CONTENT & LEARNING OUTCOMES
Workshop based on 6 D's of navigation (Destination, Direction, Distance, Duration, Description and Danger), to help navigate in poor visibility, give confidence and share tips/tactics in a peer setting. The Malvern Hills is an ideal area to also focus on contour lines.
We'll meet in a well lit car park-and will ensure everyone is met (if running late), and will not leave until everyone has driven off safely.
The car park is pay and display-so bring some coins.
Each attendee will recieve beads/step counter and an MTA timing card.
EQUIPMENT/KIT REQUIRED
OS Explorer 190 map, head torch and compass. Plus clothing equipment that will keep you toasty on what could be a cold evening.
Though please shout if you do not have some of the items-we have spares-head torch/compasses etc

Bring your own-flask and snacks recommended
WORKSHOP PROVIDER CREDENTIALS
SML and Regional volunteer-delivered several night navs and can share practical working examples of when night nav is used in practical terms eg Snowdon night walks.
