Award Description
This qualification trains and assesses candidates in the skills required to supervise climbers on single pitch crags and climbing walls. Common activities undertaken by Rock Climbing Instructor will be roped climbing and bouldering. This scheme does not include the skills and techniques required to teach lead climbing.
About
This three day course is intended for experinced cllimbers who wish to introduce groups to climbing on single pitch crags and artifical structures. Its aim is to address the technical skills, judgement and areas of knowledge which will make you a competent Rock Climbing Instructor Scheme holder. You will need to practice these skills and gain further experience before returning for assessment.
