Award Description
This qualification trains and assesses candidates in the skills required to supervise climbers on purpose built artificial climbing walls and boulders. The scheme does not include the skills and techniques required to teach lead climbing.

Climbing Wall Instructor Training Course
Welcome to this Roxcool course where you will learn, teach, be inspired and generally have fun in a positive learning environment. The tutors are all experienced and enthusiastic climbers and instructors with years (some with too much) of experience. This course runs over a weekend (two days) and is based from Sunderland Wall and Kirkley Hall (Ponteland).
- Saturday – 1000 - 1600 Kirkley Hall
- Sunday - 1000 - 1730 Sunderland Wall
PLEASE NOTE: The price given includes administration. It doesn't however include enterance to the two climbing walls.
You need to be 17 years of age at the commencement of this course and have been climbing at least six months. You should also understand the principles of leading routes indoors and have led a few routes graded French 4 or above.
