Award Description
The Lowland Leader qualification has been designed for people who wish to lead groups on day walks in lowland countryside and woodland in summer conditions. The majority of the UK and Ireland is made up of this type of terrain so you'll never be short of places to go walking.
Falkirk Council – Outdoor Activities
C/o Provider John Jackson
At Falkirk Outdoors our Lowland Leader Assessment courses are all about being outside and in the Lowland environment as much as possible.
Our course will be based at our Action Outdoors Centre. Our Central Scotland location means you can enjoy the outdoors by day and still get back to your own bed at night.
We have an abundance of outdoor venues to use - either at our centre or within a short drive away. If we decide to use venues away from our centre, transport will be in one of our centre minibuses (included in the course fee).
Although the course is based at Action Outdoors, our office base in Falkirk is located a short walk away from Falkirk Train and bus station. Public transport runs regularly to Falkirk from across central Scotland including from Glasgow, Edinburgh and Stirling. We are very happy to meet you at our main office and transport you to the country park.
If you have any questions about this course, then please feel free to contact John via the ‘enquire’ button, email or text.
Private courses are available for groups of 4 or more people on dates and locations to suit.
