This workshop will present an overview of information relevant for International Mountain Leaders of whom many are working abroad, or have the desire to work abroad.

The workshop will begin with debugging some myths and then general information about working abroad including clarification of the common terms, regulation of the profession in certain countries and what this means, visas and work permits, and the differences between holding a UK and EU passport. Following this, information specific to the regulated countries Switzerland, Italy and France will be covered.

It is the aim of the workshop is to give clear and understandable explanations of the processes involved and also where there are limitations.

The workshop is relevant for holders of the MTUKI IML award and both UK and EU citizens.

The workshop will be presented by Peter Chapman who is the Chair and Technical Director of BAIML. Peter has been an IML for 16 years and he is self-employed. His business is a registered travel agent. He has spent a lot of time in recent months getting to grips with the situation and updating the information available to BAIML members.

The workshop will be online and it is free. The start time is 7pm UK time.

There is a limit of 99 attendees but we will record the workshop for the BAIML website.
