Award Description

The Lowland Leader qualification has been designed for people who wish to lead groups on day walks in lowland countryside and woodland in summer conditions. The majority of the UK and Ireland is made up of this type of terrain so you'll never be short of places to go walking.

This Lowland Leader Assessment course is open to MOD Sponsored Cadet Forces, Reserve Forces or Regular Forces personnel ONLY. Priority is afforded to RAFAC personnel, then other CFAV, followed the other MOD affiliated CFAVs. NB non RAFAC personnel will need to provide evidence of their EDBS currency and CoC approval.

There will be a short TEAMS session on the Wednesday evening to cover introductions, outcomes and course format plus any last-minute admin. Followed by 2 days practical assessment on the Saturday and Sunday.

Note: Candidates are required to have at least 20 quality days logged in their DLOG prior to attending assessment.
