Award Description
This qualification trains and assesses candidates in the skills required to lead hillwalking groups in summer conditions on mountainous routes not requiring the planned use of a rope. Established in 1964, this was the first qualification created by Mountain Training.
About
The course is run over two long weekends.
Friday 10 to Sunday 12 and Friday 17 to Sunday 19 May 2024.
The course will be run by Steve Spalding one of the most experienced trainers in the UK.
Courses are based in the Pitlochry area which provides a wide range of easily accessible excellent venues.
A small local community hall in the village of Moulin is used for indoor discussions and learning.
Our course mileage is low as venues are generally close to the town.
