WORKSHOP CONTENT & LEARNING OUTCOMES
This practical workshop is relevant to all walk leaders (qualified and trainees). We will consider risk and group management issues in the context of our walk leader activities.
On a short walk we will explore our understanding of risk and deal with some practical mini incident scenarios to facilitate discussion and to consider our management options.
We will consider steep ground issues but note that this workshop does not involve and use of rope.
There may also be some flora/fauna spots during the evening.
EQUIPMENT/KIT REQUIRED
Normal outdoor kit suitable for time of year and weather (suggest long sleeved tops and bottoms). Poles and shelter etc may be useful. Headtorch might be needed to walk out. A check for ticks after is essential (there is a large deer population in the area).

Peer led, facilitator is an experienced walk leader (HML) and has significant experience of risk management in a professional context.
