• Introduction to Wild Ingleborough project
• A circular walk of approximately 4 miles, covering the following areas:
• Southerscales Nature Reserve (on the Y3P footpath)
• High Lot and Mere Gill, part of the Ingleborough NNR where restoration work has been taking place
• Scar Close, a rewilded area of limestone pavement and an exemplar of what Wild Ingleborough is aiming to achieve on other sites
• Great Douk cave
• 3pm return to vehicles and end.

There’ll be a lunch break at around 12.30 – bring lunch and all drinking water.

• Themes we will cover:
• Our landscape restoration work
• Habitats and wildlife present in the area
• Our work with local landowners and the Three Dales Landscape Recovery Scheme
• Challenges of working in one of the busiest parts of the Dales
• What practitioners in the outdoor sector can do to support nature conservation in the Dales

Ellie is the Wild Ingleborough Community Engagement Officer, and her background is in Environmental Education and Community Development. We will also be joined by another member of the Wild Ingleborough team, but I can’t confirm yet who that will be.
