Award Description
Our Rock Skills courses are designed to provide structured training opportunities for people who want to learn more and become independent climbers. There are three different levels so that complete beginners and those with more experience can choose the most appropriate starting point.

If you've dreamt of sunny bolt clipping on real rock in places like Kalymnos, Ceuse or even on home territory at somewhere like Malham Cove, the Rock Skills Learn to Lead Sport courses are ideal for people who are ready to progress to leading sport routes on rock, improve their lead climbing confidence and refresh their leading skills. By the end of the course you will have the knowledge and ability to climb single pitch bolted climbs anywhere in the world.
DDJ Mountaineering has over 10 years experience offering a range of high quality climbing and walking courses and experiences. Our staff are highly qualified and experienced both personally and professionally. They take pride in delivering quality coaching on every occasion and maintaining a friendly and calm manner, which will enable our customers to continue on with their newly learned skills with confidence.
Our ethos is that everyone should have the opportunity to experience the wonders of the mountains and crags to the fullest extent. We wish to teach as many people as possible to do that in a fun, safe, ethical and environmentally friendly way.
Our Skills courses mostly take place on the dramatic gritstone edges of the Peak District but can take place elsewhere with request.
