A community of practise evening
7th November 2023
6pm - 8pm
Venue: Plas y Brenin Lecture room and Training Wall
Plas y Brenin are allowing us to use the venue free of charge. The bar will be open and the bar meals are very tasty, so it would be really appreciated if people could show their thanks by getting a bar meal after we have finished. If you're local you can get a locals discount card too, so a pretty reasonably priced meal. The menu can be found here if you'd like to check what's on offer beforehand- https://pyb.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2023/09/Autumn-23-Bar-Menu.pdf
The aims being to have the opportunity to discuss practise in an honest open and friendly way.
I envisage splitting into groups and focusing on a particular area, discussing and then feeding back to the rest of the community at the end of the evening. With the training wall available for use this will also allow practical discussion.
It would be great if some volunteers would be happy to step forward to head up some of these groups, keep the group focused and be happy to feedback what has been discussed. Please let me know if you would be happy to do that.
With the training wall available please bring along harness, helmet, belay devices, lanyards and some rack and ropes that will allow running through some practical discussion. PYB stores will not be open and there will not be kit available from their for us to use.
Can you please email me (Kath James) info@mountain-expertise.co.uk if you would like to attend, so I have an idea of numbers.
