This 2-day CPD event will be run at various locations dependant on weather and snow conditions. Possibilities include Les Mont D’Olmes ski area and surrounding area and the Camarac area.

Workshop Programme - Day 2
• Weather briefing and arranging of transport to the days venue
• Planning (maps, distances, snow history, slopes, weather, local knowledge etc)
• Daily and dynamic risk assessments
• Transceiver searches - single - multiple
• Winter belays - problem solving
• Final summary concluded at the venue
The workshop will be delivered by Dave Norris who is a WMCI and IML. He has extensive experience working in Scotland during the winter and in the French and Spanish Pyrenees. And guides regularly on the TMB. Dave lives in the French Pyrenees in the Ariege and knows the area well. He has a breadth of knowledge and enjoys sharing this with other mountaineers.
