A chance to share knowledge and experience regarding coasteering activities region as well as update on the NCC Guide Award and Updated Safety Advice for Coasteering Providers for 2024.
Aimed at those working regularity on coasteering sessions and/or those acting as a Technical Expert for coasteering activities.
Topics and discussions to include:
Rescue Skills, Emergency Action and Evacuation
Coastal Hazards, Geomorphology, Waves and Swell
In water, Movement and Spotting Skills
Assessing sites for suitability
Rope work (planned or unplanned)
The day is interactive and participants should be self sufficient in the activity, have suitable equipment and experience to bring to the discussion.
Venue will be decided nearer the date based on weather conditions but likely to be based near Ogmore by Sea near Bridgend or the Gower (South Wales).
