Improve Your Belay Stances - Skills for Multipitch

Are you finding yourself getting twisted, facing challenges with changeovers, or spending too much time on belays?

Join us to elevate your climbing skills—whether you're looking to learn new tricks or refresh old skills, there's something for every climber. Our focus is on improving our multipitch stances, for cleaner smoother change overs.

Key themes we'll cover include:

- Belay stances and spatial awareness
- Block leading vs swing leading
- Appropriate anchor selection
- Various methods of equlisation

This workshop is designed for climbers currently leading trad climbs independently. It's a workshop dedicated to upskilling.

Remember to bring your own harness, helmet, small rack, and rock shoes. All necessary equipment can be provided free of charge if needed. Don't forget to bring your own lunch and snacks.

The workshop will be conducted by John Brooks from Open Ascents. John is a local Lake District MCI with extensive experience teaching climbing to a diverse range of clients.
