Award Description
The Hill and Moorland Leader award is designed for people who want to lead groups in the hill and moorland areas of the UK and Ireland. This award is a wonderful opportunity to learn the leadership skills required to feel confident about taking people out walking. As you may have guessed from the descriptive title of this award, it focuses on non-mountainous terrain.
The Storey Arms OEC
The course will be based from The Storey Arms OEC, at the foot of Pen y Fan in Y Bannau Brycheiniog. This central location allows for quick access the all the park, and only 40 minutes away from Cardiff.
We have access to the perfect terrain for hill and moorland training and assessment courses and candidates.
The course will be a mix of some theory and mainly practical elements following the HML syllabus.
The staff delivering the course are all very experienced and qualified mountain leaders and have worked throuhout The UK, Europe and beyond.
