This is a mostly practical workshop that focuses on the ‘what to teach’ aspect of coaching climbing, looking at specific climbing movements and techniques. This forms part of the Mountain Training coaching pathway but is also attended by aspiring climbers looking to develop their own personal skills.

We will explore Fundamental Movement Skills with a selection of fun activities and highlight common climbing errors to learn from.
You'll have plenty of opportunities to take part in games and more formal coaching scenarios which will help to deepen your understanding, and, in turn, make climbing and coaching easier.
We'll also discuss the needs of young climbers, looking at the key points of youth development and best practices for avoiding injuries.
This workshop is resourced, and you will receive supporting documentation to help you as you consolidate.
