A day to learn about Wild Ingleborough, Yorkshire Wildlife Trust’s flagship landscape restoration project, and meet the team who have been working on the 1300Ha site since 2021. It will also be an opportunity to discover Ingleborough’s amazing grassland fungi, less well-known than their woodland relations but just as strange and beautiful!
Meet 10am, Selside outdoor centre carpark
Selside Outdoor Centre, University of Leeds BD24 0HZ

The walk will be on mixed terrain, including limestone pavement and boggy areas. The walk will be between 3-5 miles, depending on the weather and the preferences of the group – looking at fungi can take a long time, but there are options to visit higher areas of the project where woodland restoration work has been taking place.
Return to Selside Outdoor Centre for 3pm.
Please bring all lunch and drinks, and note there are no toilet facilities at the meeting place – nearest toilets are in Horton in Ribblesdale car park or at Ingleton Community Centre.
Parking is limited to please carshare if at all possible.
The walk will be hosted by Ellie Parker, Wild Ingleborough Community Engagement Officer, supported by the Wild Ingleborough project team
THIS WORKSHOP WILL ONLY GO AHEAD IF THERE IS 6 OR MORE BOOKINGS.
