Yr Hafod is the Scouts Cymru Mountain Activity Centre in the Ogwen Valley, North Wales. The centre is nestled under the flanks of Y Garn, which means that within minutes we can be in the mountains, which makes Yr Hafod an ideal place to stay for your mountain adventures / training.

The centre is staffed by predominantly Scout Association Members who are either keen mountain walkers and/or climbers supported by well known outdoor professionals when needed. Many of the staff see this as a way to give back to the organisation that got them involved with outdoor activities at an early age.

Yr Hafod provides Permit Training & Assessment coures for Hill Walking and Rock Climbing and for those that wish to take this a step further, we can provide the the following Mountain Training Courses.
