Freelance Outdoor Instructor and Expedition Leader
Since retraining to become an outdoor professional in 1998 my work has taken me to locations all over the UK as well as to amazing overseas destinations. I work for a wide range of outdoor providers and private clients and take on a variety of roles such as course director, planning manager, instructor etc.

Logistical support services for D of E and large scale outdoor events
Indoor & Outdoor Climbing Courses GCSE, NICAS, Intro to rock climbing etc
Duke of Edinburgh’s Award expedition supervision, training and assessment
Overseas training expeditions - destination specific eg jungle, high altitude
Professional courses such as ML refresher/ WGL and SPA Training
Teamwork and Leadership Developmental Courses
As an Overseas expedition leader I have led adult mountaineering and adventurous school expeditions to Borneo (2), Bolivia, Indian Himalayas, Tanzania-Kilimanjaro(3), Argentina-Aconcagua(2), Nepal-Everest Base Camp and Ecuador/Galapagos Islands. I have also worked as an IML on trekking holidays in the European Alps.
