26th to 29th October 2012 WGL Training at Longtown OEC

Duke of Edinburgh's Award Co-ordinator for Northampton School for Girls. Responsible for managing student/candidate applications, training students and planning expeditions. Also responsible for the budget and applying for funding for equipment. Became involved in the award scheme when I first qualified as a teacher in 2006 and became the centre coordinator in 2009/2010 until I left the school in July 2013. Award scheme was very small when I took over with only a small number of candidates taking part but this was built up to over 100 students actively completing their Bronze and Silver awards. Pleased to see that the award is still going strongly at the school despite my leaving!

Expeditions for NSG 2013 season went out on the following dates:

12-14th April 2013 - Silver Practice in Shropshire/Long Mynd

20-21st April 2013 - Bronze Practice in Northamptonshire

27-28th April 2013 - Bronze Assessment in Northamptonshire

15-16th June 2013 - Bronze Practice in Northamptonshire

22-23rd June 2013 - Bronze Practice in Northamptonshire

29-30th June 2013 - Bronze Assessment in Northamptonshire

6-7th July 2013 - Bronze Assessment in Northamptonshire

19-21st July 2013 - Silver Assessment in White Peak

There are number of expeditions for previous years but I have not included these. In addition, with the exception of the Silver Practice I have not included these in my personal logbook.

I left Northampton School for Girls in July 2013 and moved to Campion school and was immediately involved in running the award at the school. The award group was small and went on one expedition that year:

28-29th September 2013 - Bronze Assessment in Northamptonshire

Since September 2015 I have worked at Southfield School for Girls and we are just about to start the 2015 expedition season after the Easter Holidays.

I was also asked by the DofE office at Grendon Hall to help Elizabeth Woodville School (formerly Roade school) as their new DofE coordinator had no experience of running expeditions and needed some help/guidance. This group went out on two expeditions last season and I'll be joining them for the spring 2015 season.
